The Optometric Technician works in conjunction with the doctor and team to facilitate, support and maintain optimum patient care. Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative. This position requires many clinical and interpersonal skills, including collecting and inputting clinical data necessary for the visual health and performance of the patient, chairside assistance, and fulfillment of contact lens orders. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Greeting patients
- Assisting Dr. Grant with preliminary testing and scribing
- Entering clinical data
- Coordinating patient care and communication
- Assist with contact lens education and fittings
- Maintains pretesting and examination areas are clean and ready for each patient
Qualifications:
- Excellent phone presence
- Strong organizational abilities
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Enjoys working with the general public
- Basic knowledge of computer processing
- Thrives in a team environment
Hourly wage starting at $17/hour.
